About My Work
I'm a senior English major at Georgia Southern University, graduating in December 2026. I'm applying to M.A. programs in English with a concentration in digital media and digital humanities.
My research asks how digital texts persuade the people who use them. I'm especially interested in AI personas, the friendly characters that chatbots and voice assistants present to users, and in what interactive fiction can teach us about agency and choice on screen. I come at these questions as a reader trained in rhetoric and narrative, and also as someone who builds things. My first writing sample pairs a seminar paper with a short video essay. My second is an interactive story with a critical rationale.
In graduate school I want to develop this work into a larger project on persona design as a rhetorical genre. I'd also like to teach first-year writing using the digital composition tools I've learned here.
